Mentoring Program

Members: Kathryn Reis
Mission: Provide opportunities for wildlife conservation students and young professionals to interact and work with experienced biologists and conservationists to gain insight and hands-on experience.
2011-2012 Goals:
1. Establish personal contact with students at participating North Carolina colleges and Universities and young professionals entering the field of natural resources.
2. Solicit and recruit college students and young professionals for the mentor program.
3. Organize student-professional social and recognize accomplishments of the program at annual meeting.
4. Feature articles of mentoring experiences in the NCTWS newsletter
4. Provide a link between the current curriculum taught at colleges and the working community.
